In the last post I unpacked Mayuyu’s second single “Otona Jelly Beans” Limited Editon Type C. Today I will unpack the other versions of this single.
The difference between each versions are the third track on the CD and the content in DVD. (for limited edition)
As I mentioned before all first press CD come with the trading card which is picked from 5 types randomly and the ticket for joining concert, live event or premium lucky draw.
The photo on back covers are very cute. I want to be the rabbit so I can get Mayu hug me.
The color scheme for each versions aren’t the same. The limited editions use blue, purple and pink but the regular one uses green. Thumb up to design team.
Type A DVD content is Mayusatsu ~Minna no “Otona” Itadakimayuyu~. Type B DVD content is music video of Twintail wa Mou Shinai by Mayuzaka46 who is the joint project between Mayuyu and Nogizaka46.
Here’s the trading cards I got this time.
This time I got rare card but also got some repeated cards. For those who want Mayuyu CD. You may find them at CDJapan.
Are the signatures printed onto the card or are they real hand-written signature from mayuyu?
Was the one with the signature one of the repeated ones?
The signature is printed on the card. For repeated card I got both rare and regular ones.
What’s the reason for getting the regular version and not type A,B,C?
Would you recommend getting all types? Do you think it’s worth it?
Sorry for late replay. I’m busy with my work.
Because C/W tracks aren’t the same on each versions such as C/W of type B is the collaboration songs between Mayuyu and Nogizaka46. If you want to listen all of her songs, I recommend to get all of them.
It’s alright! I’m glad that somebody’s willing to spend the time to explain.
What does C/W stand for?
Also, I have a question regarding the CDs. Since I live in Taiwan, they also sell the Taiwanese packaged album of Otona Jelly Beans. However the price is like half the price of the Japanese’s version. And someone online told me the price reflects the quality of the CDs and that Japan uses better quality CDs as oppose to Taiwans, and the DVD for the japanese version will be bette. Have you ever heard of this? If so is it true?
C/W is from “Coupling with”. In this case it means the song that coupling with single.
About the quality of CD. Sony Music Thailand sometime import the Taiwanese version of Japanese singles and albums since it takes a lot of money to make in Thailand.
In my opinion, the Japanese one is better in term of label screening, cover and booklet. For the sound of CD, I’m not audiophile so I can’t hear the different between them. For DVD, Japan is very famous for high quality DVD mastering. If they don’t do anything to the master one, the quality should be the same.
Hope this will help.
