In the middle is the exhibition of Kibo or ISS’s Japanese Experiment Module.
It also got the Good Design Award 2010.
Let’s see inside of Pressurized Module.
Astronaut figure is hanged from Experiment Logistics Module. Is it haunted mansion ?
There are experiment tools that we can try out. Although they are quite old but still operational.
What I found interesting is H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV). It’s unmanned cargo spaceship for Kibo. After it finished its work. ISS will put the junks in it and let’s it return to the earth. It will be burnt with the junk inside by atmosphere.
You can go up and look inside.
I think JAXA love to surprise the visitor by putting the astronaut figure in the place that is surprise us.
The Japanese rocket models from the oldest to newest one.
The model of astronaut suit. Kamen Rider fan. Do you remember this ?
You can go inside the suit and ask someone to take a photo of you in the suit.
There is the donation box at the exit. It’s for the JAXA future space programs.
I went to the souvenir shop to see it’s closed.
I think space fans will love this place for sure. There are no fee for admission but the train fare to here is quite expensive. You can also make a reservation for guide tour which they will guide you to other parts in Tsukuba Space Center such as operation room of Kibo.
Next time I will write what left on the 2nd day of my trip. Please look forward to it.
