Here’s the photos of Gundam Expo Thailand 2008 on the first day. There aren’t many activities today. All highlight will be on the last two days because there is the cosplay contest on those days. In Thailand, where has the cosplayer, there are a very large amount of people here.

Plamo Parade. A lot of people queue to get the Plamo for their children or themselves.
I thought the best activity today is Plamo Parade which you can assemble the plamo and take it home for free. Just signing your name, take your plamo, assemble it, return the junk to the booth and take yours home. This is the third time I joined the Plamo Parade. The first time I got SD Gundam Astray. Second is Zaku Warrior. This time is Blitz Gundam. Even all of them are the first grade but in Thailand the first grade plamo cost 10 – 12 US dollars or 300 – 360 Thai baht. A large amout of money but the veteran plamo builder know the source that has 40% or 50% discount from that price.
There is the booth which selling the Gundam good such as Plamo, Gundam Wars card game, Comic, DVD, etc. The special goods this event is there are special item for this event like calendar, polo shirts, coffee mug, etc. The Gundam 00 1st season volume 6 DVD’s released today too.
I’m in the expo for about 1 hour include 20 minutes in the Plamo Parade queue and 15 assembly my plamo. It’s very boring because no cosplayer today. So I left the expo and looked for something to eat.
I have lunch at Ootoya. The menu I have today is Crockett and Hamburger with the green tea flavor ice cream as a dessert. (The ice cream is free since it celebrated the new branch.)
These are what I got today. Blitz Gundam from Plamo Parade and Manabi Straight’s Mikan-chan in school swimming suit for 199 Baht. (~ about 6 $) from the full price of 4500 Yen and it’s genuine.
I will visit the event again on the cosplay contest day. Please look forward to the cosplayer photographs.
*FYI. Fan Pan Tae is the TV quiz show. Every weeks they will set the topic like Gundam, Harry Potter, Thai food, etc. and look for the people who is the mania or the expert of that topic to be the players. This show is very popular in Thailand. The certificate you see is made from 99% gold and was given to the winner of the Gundam topic.
PS. Christmas tree at Central Changwattana’s very interesting.
